Cash Transport Security System
Cash transport vehicles are tracked and monitored using a tilt and motion sensor, on-board vehicle diagnostics (OBD), and geo-fencing. Geo-fencing is to define virtual boundaries on the map which the tracking device recognizes. In this operation, these virtual boundaries are used to send notifications and alerts when vehicles enter designated or unauthorized locations, and to set rules for vehicles based on geographic locations (such as speed limit). Geo-fencing is also used to facilitate an advanced security feature, which gives permission to security personnel to access a specific ATM machine by generating a temporary security code. ATM machines require a security code to access the cash inside, so when a vehicle is near an ATM machine (recognized by the geofence), ILS notifies the third party ATM solution to generate a random security code on the security’s PDA device. This is all made possible by integrating ILS Tracking with their existing third party security systems. Through Integration with on board security hardware, the system helps increase security of the vehicles by enforcing security procedures. The tracking device is connected to sensors on the three doors on the vehicle. These doors are secured by an electronic key and a mechanical lock. Both of which have to be used in a specific order to trigger the doors to unlock. Otherwise, a notification will be sent from the tracking device to the supervisors. Moreover, the company’s security policy requires that the doors be opened in a specific order and not exceed a specific period of time opened. ILS Tracking is able to identify when a procedure is not followed through with and can enforce it by sending an alert to the control room for a supervisor to take action, or by switching off the vehicle engine automatically after a configured period of time; which is especially useful in the case of a robbery.

The students will only need to tap their card on the RFID reader installed near the door on the bus when they’re entering and leaving the bus. Drivers will only have to look out for students who don’t tap swipe their card.
